Learning this strategy changed everything for me.

I monetized my writing by posting articles on Medium, publishing books, and landing freelance clients. I built my audience through long-form content like blog posts and newsletters. But I hadn’t yet cracked the code on platforms like X.

Even though I had years of writing experience, creating content on social media was a different animal.

I’d been posting for months, but I wasn’t making money directly from my social media accounts.

Then I learned one simple technique that changed my revenue overnight.

‍Almost every other day I was making sales of my course by reaching out to readers and selling them on the program in the DMs.

Picture two different accounts…

One account has 100,000 followers.

They write threads that get tens of thousands, or hundreds thousands of views. It looks like they’re making a killing.

But in the background, behind closed doors, they’re reaching out to people like me and asking what went wrong because basically nobody in their giant audience is willing to pay them (this happens more often than you’d think).

Or take an account like my student Jodi.

Before working with me, she had a decent sized following of 7,000 people.

She was getting good engagement on her account, but the bank account wasn’t reflecting her effort.

After one call with me, she used a strategy I gave her to monetize the readers who were already following her and landed her first online coaching client a few days later
